Mark Divine, CrossFit Coach, Warrior-Yoga developer

Mark is the founder of U.S. Tactical and NavySEALs.com. He is a certified CrossFit trainer, and has been a long-time yoga practitioner with 100 hours of teacher training with Tim Miller of the Ashtanga Yoga Center in Encinitas.

In his twenties, Mark was a triathlete and a black belt in a Japanese Karate style Seido. He was a competitive swimmer and rower in College, then joined the U.S. Navy SEALs after a stint in Public Accounting in NYC. During his time with the SEALs, Mark continued his martial arts training, earning a teacher’s certification in SCARS (a combat fighting system based on San Soo Kung Fu) and earning advanced ranking in Goju Ryu and Ninjitsu.

Mark is the creator of the Warrior-Yoga Training System, which combines elements of Yoga, strength training and the martial arts. His philosophy for training is that of developing Kokoro, indomitable spirit, through intense training combined with a “body, mind and spirit” approach.

Robert Ord, Director of Training

CrossFit Head Coach

As the U.S. Tactical Director of Training, Rob oversees all CrossFit training at the Center in Encinitas, CA, as well as the on-line training and mentoring provided by NavySEALs.com.

Rob brings a unique wealth of experience from his background in the military, business, and fitness communities to the training of US Tactical and NavySEALs.com clients.

Initially trained by the Navy as a Deep Sea Diver, Rob chose the path of Special Operations by volunteering for duty with SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team One, where he worked as a Diving Medical Technician in numerous platoons and other capacities. He is still a member of the Naval Reserves at the Naval Special Warfare Command, but has also had the opportunity to work with the Special Boat Teams, Explosive Ordinance Disposal Detachments, and Deep Sea Diving Commands.

Rob is a Certified Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association and CrossFit, Inc. He has worked as a consultant and contractor with the Navy in its efforts to find and effectively prepare future SEALs, Special Warfare Combat Crewmen, Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technicians, and Navy Divers.

As the Head Coach of U.S. Tactical CrossFit, Rob’s philosophy is that there is an athlete in everyone. For some the challenge begins with finding that athlete within, for others it’s a matter of fine tuning to achieve peak athletic performance, and for others it’s about transforming the athlete into the warrior through rigorous physical and mental preparation.
