Interested in a head start on your New Year’s resolution and tired of spending hours at the gym or throwing money away on personal trainers?

CrossFit ™ training at the new Encinitas Training Center could be your answer.

Since July, a growing group of Encinitas residents have discovered an exciting new option to take their fitness to a new level. Crossfit ™ is an exercise regimen comprised of constantly varied functional movements done at high intensity. CrossFit ™, fused with elements of Navy SEAL fitness training, is the primary focus of the Encinitas Training Center, started by the local company U.S. Tactical, inc.

Classes run daily at 6am, 9am, noon and 5:30pm. The workouts are short, varied daily, and draw from gymnastics, running, rowing and the unique sport of Olympic lifting. Trainees undergo a group workout that is intense and fun, always under the watchful eye expert coach. The Center combines the social elements of teamwork and competition with the most comprehensive, focused full-spectrum workout available outside of a professional or collegiate sports team. Benchmark workouts are recorded and referenced to track your progress. Whether you are an elite athlete, a paramedic or someone seeking to improve your physical fitness for the first time, Crossfit can be scaled to fit your abilities.

Coming from a company named U.S. Tactical, you may think the training is strictly for the military or First Responders. Not true - the Encinitas Training Center is for anyone who is serious about physical fitness. Members include individuals from all walks of life and all professions. “The training here at the Center pushes the limits of what you think you are capable of” says local filmmaker and member Matt Goodman.

The Encinitas Training Center’s members are even harder to classify by age. On any given day, you can see high school athletes seeking competitive edge training side by side with grandparents seeking core strength and greater muscle mass and bone density through the hormonal release associated with the CrossFit ™ workouts. So when they U.S. Tactical says that their program is for anyone who is serious about physical fitness, they’re serious.

Make this New Year’s resolution one that you can keep with help from the new Encinitas Training Center at 849 Second Street in downtown Encinitas.

For more information you can contact Coaches Rob Ord or Mark Divine at (760) 634-3825 or crossfit@ustactical.com, or visit us on the web and view our daily workouts at http://training.ustactical.com.

You can get there in less time with high intensity workouts at the U.S. Tactical training center, located on the corner of 2nd and H streets in downtown Encinitas.

Though the U.S. Tactical training center sounds like it is for military or law enforcement personnel, it is for everyone who is serious about fitness. The primary focus of the center is a dynamic training program called “CrossFit.” CrossFit is an exercise regimen of constantly varied, functional movements done at high intensity. The workouts are team-based and draw from gymnastics, running, rowing and the unique sport of Olympic lifting. CrossFit is used by world class strength and conditioning programs, as well as the U.S. Navy SEALs, U.S. Marine Corps and many first responder academies.

At the U.S. Tactical training center you are under the guidance of an expert coach and train with a group of committed peers, combining the social elements of teamwork and competition with your workout. Benchmark workouts are recorded and referenced to track your progress. Whether you are an elite athlete, a paramedic or someone seeking to improve your physical fitness for the first time, Crossfit can be scaled to fit your abilities.

U.S. Tactical was founded in 2001 by former Navy SEAL and Encinitas resident Mark Divine. Initially the company focused on ecommerce and product sales through it’s flagship web site NavySEALs.com. The company branched out into training in 2005 with a contract with the U.S. Navy to train and mentor Navy SEAL candidates.

Though coming from a military background and customer base, U.S. Tactical is very much an Encinitas company. The staff is rigorous about it’s recycle program, and has a large focus on philanthropic activities. “we encourage our employees to serve in a public manner, such as the Reserves or National Guard, and to serve their community in in meaningful ways” according to founder Mark Divine. The company donates 7.5% of it’s net profit to the Naval Special Warfare Foundation, a non-profit that supports families of fallen Navy SEALs. Other support goes to the Sierra Club and National Outdoor Leadership School. Mark states: “we believe that we are in business not just to earn a living, but to make a difference in the lives of others, and to educate those we meet about the importance of being a steward of this great planet Earth.”

You can be part of this revolutionary fitness program by stopping by the training center at 849 Second Street, Encinitas, or by calling Coach Rob Ord at (760) 634-3825 or by email at Crossfit@USTactical.com
